Gyökeres Tough Start, Slot Gets A Grilling, Irish Players Up Against it, Fantasy Football Team Names

A No Nonsense Podcast : Football Episode 279

We are so back ladies and gentlemen. As a new Premier League season kicked off with some big games and weird interviews.

Liverpool kicked off the season with an emotional and controversial 4-2 win over Bournemouth. In a game which saw great performances from new signings, not so good performances from others, tributes galore to Diogo Jota and a racist fan incident.

After the game, Arne Slot appeared for his mandated casual post game chat with Jamie Carragher and co. Little did Arne know that he was in for a grilling with criticism and landmine questions a plenty.

While Arsenal beat Man United 1-0 thanks to some weak goalkeeping and clever set piece hassling, it was Man United fans who came out of the game feeling more positive, as they managed to look not totally incompetent.

You'd fear for Brentford as they concede a set piece 10 minutes in to the new season with their ex set piece coach Keith Andrews in charge.

We take a look at how fantasy football has changed over the years and how only one thing has stayed the same - the team names.
